2. Candidates may purchase the OMR application forms from the Post Offices listed in para 6 of this Advt.. The cost of application of PREGEN Series (for General, OBC of U.P.) shall be Rs. 155/- (Exam Fee 100+ Postal Expenses 30 + Applicaton form 25) and of PRERES Series (for S.C. of U.P. and S.T. of U.P.) shall be Rs. 95/- (Exam Fee 40 + Postal Exp. 30 + Application Form 25) only. The Candidates are not required to submit any Bank Draft or Treasury Challan etc. Ex-Army Personnel, D.F.F., and women Candidates of U.P. shall purchase application forms according to their main category viz. Gen., SC, ST, OBC. The candidates of outside U.P. shall fill the form of General Category/(PREGEN). If
they fill the form of reserved Category that shall be rejected. The cost of application form shall not be returned in any case. Only time barred applications shall be returned in original but its cost will not be returned. 
3. The candidates must keep a photostat
copy of their OMR application with them. They must mention their OMR Form No. in the correspondence with Commission in future.
The Commission shall hold an objective type Preliminary
Examination on May 13, 2012 to select the suitable candidates for admission to the Civil Judge (Junior Division) Main Examination (Written Examination), at various centres of the Districts Agra, Allahabad, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Lucknow, Meerut, Saharanpur & Varanasi. The date and centre of Examination shall be informed through their Admit Card.

Note: 1. The candidates claiming the benefit of reservation must
get the certificate regarding their category/Sub-category from the
competent Authority on the proforma published at Appendix-III and
they should produce it to the Commission when asked for. 2. All the
candidates of reserved category must mention their category/sub
category in OMR application forms. 3. The candidates claiming the
benefit of more than one reservation shall be given only one
concession whichever shall be more beneficial to them. 4.
Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class,
Dependents of Freedom Fighters candidate and women candidates
who are not the domicile of U.P. shall not be given the benefit of
reservation and they shall be treated as General Candidates
such candidates must fill the form of PREGEN series only.

4. Academic Qualifications: (A) Till last date for submitting the
application form the candidate must be a Bachelor of Laws of a
University established by Law in U.P. or any other University of
India recognised for this purposes by the Governor, or (B) Must
be an Advocate enrolled under the provisions of the Advocate Act
1961 or a Barrister of England or Northern Ireland or a Member
Faculty of Advocates in Scotland and is entitled to practice in the
Court or Courts subordinate thereto; (C) Must possess thorough
knowledge of Hindi in Devnagri Script.

5. Age Limits: The Candidates must have attained the age of 22
years and must not have attained the age of more than 35 Years
on 1st July, 2013 i.e. they must have not born before 2nd July,
1978 and not later than 1st July 1991 but for Scheduled Caste of
U.P. Scheduled Tribe of U.P. and Other Backward Class
candidates of U.P. the age limit shall be five years more. In the
same manner for Dependants of Freedom Fighters of U.P. & for
Ex-Army Personnel of U.P. the age limit is five years more
provided further that where a candidate was eligible in age to
appear at the examination in the year 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 &
2011 he shall be deemed eligible in age. The skilled players of
National or International standard of classified games shall also
be given age relaxation of 5 years according to G.O. No.
22/21/1983-Ka-2, Dated 28-11-85 who is domicile of U.P.
Provided also that the maximum number of chances a candidate
is permitted to take will be four.
According to G.O. No. 17/2/1981-Ka-2, Dated 28-02-85 Emergency
Commissioned Officers including Short Service Commissioned
Officers, Ex-Army personnel and those Commissioned Officers
who have rendered minimum five year service in Army shall be
given the age relaxation upto 5 years taking the service period
into consideration. This relaxation shall not be admissible to
those who (1) have been dismissed on the ground of misconduct or
inefficiency, (2) who have been discharged on the ground of such
Physical disability or weakness as is considered for any service.

7. Important Instructions: (1) The application complete in all
respects must reach the Secretary. Advt. No. A-2/E-1/2012
Public Service Commission, U.P. Allahabad-211018 on or before
5:00 P.M. on 1st March 2012 by Registered post or by hand. After
the last date, the applications shall not be received at any cost.
The receipt must be taken while submitting the application by
hand on the counter of U.P.P.S.C. (2) If any candidate submits
more than one application in one envelope in his name, his all
applications shall be rejected. Applications through fax shall not
be accepted. (3) Incomplete application and application without
signature even if within time shall be rejected summarily (4)
Emergency Commissioned/Short Service Commissioned
Officers who have not been released from Army but whose period
of Army Service have been extended for rehabilitation, may also
apply for this examination on the following conditions in
accordance with G.O. No. 22/10/1976-Karmik-2/1985 dated 30-
01-85 (A) Applicants will have to submit a certificate in this
respect from the competent authority of Army, Navy, Air Force,
that their period of Service has been extended for rehabilitation
and no disciplinary action is pending against them. (B) Applicants
will have to submit a written undertaking with their application that
in case they are selected for the post applied for, they will get
themselves released immediately from the Army Service. The
above facilities will not be admissible to Short Service
Commissioned/Emergencey Commissioned Officer if: (a) he gets
permanent Commission in the Army or (b) Has been released from
the Army on tendering resignation or (c) Has been released from
the Army on grounds of misconduct. (5) Character: The Character
of a candidate for recruitment to the service must be such as to
render him suitable in opinion of the Governor in all respects for
employment in the service. Persons dismissed from the service
by the Union Government or a State Govt. or debarred from
practice as an Advocate by the Bar Council of India or a State or
convicted and sentenced for imprisonment on any offence under
the Indian Penal Code or any other Law for the time being in force
involving moral turpitude shall not be eligible for appointment to
the Service. (6) Marital Status: A Male candidate who has more
than one wife living or a female candidate who has married a man
already having a wife living shall not be eligible for appointment to
a post in the Service. (7) Physical Fitness: No Candidate shall
be appointed to a post in the service unless he be in good mental
and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to
interfere with the efficient performance of his duties. Before a
candidate is finally approved for appointment shall be required to
pass an Examination by a Medical Board. (8) Only those candidates
will be called for Main Examination (Written Examination) who
obtain such minimum marks as may be fixed by the Commission
for the purpose on the basis of preliminary exam. They will be
required to fill up requisite forms etc. sent by the Commission for
main examination and will have to deposit fees also for main
exam. (9) Candidates will have to produce their all original
certificates, two photographs attested by Gazetted Officer, one
plain photograph and other required documents at the time of
interview. (10) The candidates working in Central or State Govt.
will have to produce No Objection Certificate from their Employer.
(11) The Commission do not give any advice to the candidates
regarding their eligibility. Therefore they should go through the
advertisement carefully and apply for the post only when they are
satisfied that they are eligible according to the terms and
conditions of advertisement. They should also go through the
syllabus of the examination printed at Appendix-II of the
advertisement. Fees is not refunded in case of candidates being
overage, underage, ineligible or rejected due to violation of rules
or procedure. (12) The Commission may allow any candidate
provisionally on summary checking of application but in later
stages if it is found that the candidates was not eligible or his
application was not fit for admission or he should have been
rejected at initial stage his candidature will be cancelled and his
recommendation shall be withdrawn even if he has been
recommended. (13) Malpractices i.e. copying in the Examination
Hall, Indiscipline, Misbehaviour or canvassing is prohibited. Such
candidate can be rejected by the Commission suo motto. (14)
The candidate who qualify in the written examination shall have
to appear compulsorily in Personality Test (Viva-voce) (15) If
there is any change in the address of the candidate, it should be
communicated promptly by registered post to the Commission. In
every correspondence with the Commission, the name of
Examination, Advertisement No., Name of Candidate, Date of
Birth & Roll No. (If communicated) Should be mentioned. (16)
The candidates for the main examination shall be declared
successful in the ratio of 1:10 according to Honble S.C. only and
for interview in the ratio of 1:3. (17) If a candidate gives such
information which can not be substantiated by any certificate, he
can be debarred for the next five years. (18) No change is
possible after receipt of application. (19) If the photograph on the
application do not resemble with that on attendance sheet, the
candidature shall be cancelled.
